Men’s Basketball stumbles at Capital

The Muskingum men's basketball team dropped a road contest to OAC-foe Capital on Thursday night.

The Basics

Inside the Numbers 

  • Freshman Kaelan Pulliam tallied a career-high 13 points to lead the Muskies. Pulliam also registered a team-high three steals as well.
  • Sophomore DJ Donnell notched 12 points and two steals for Muskingum, while sophomore Zachary Chatmon tallied nine points and four rebounds.
  • Freshman Logan Stotzer and sophomore Landen Russell both chipped in nine points for the Muskies, while junior Bradley Russell finished with three rebounds.
  • Capital was led by Carter Combs with 19 points and five assists, while Tre Hammonds finished with 16 points for the Comets.
  • Muskingum finished 21-for-46 (45.7%) from the floor on the night, while Capital went 33-for-60 (55%) from the field.
  • Muskingum shot 4-for-14 (28.6%) from behind the arc, while the Comets finished 12-for-30 (40%) from three-point range.
  • Capital finished with a slight 31-25 edge in rebounds, and the Comets also finished with 18 assists on the game compared to six for Muskingum.
  • Capital forced 20 Muskingum turnovers, while Muskingum forced Capital to cough it up 14 times. The Comets converted Muskingum's turnovers into 25 points, while Muskingum converted their takeaways into 12 points.
  • Capital outscored Muskingum 38-26 in the paint, and the Comets also held an edge in fast break points by a 15-4 margin.
