The Muskingum men's basketball team fell to #14 Mount Union in an OAC battle on Wednesday night, 85-63.

Game Highlights

The Purple Raiders started the game going on a quick 7-0 run in the first three minutes before Dempsey made a three-pointer to put the Muskies on the board. Muskingum battled back to get within four points, 19-15, with 11:10 remaining in the first half until Mount Union went on a 13-4 to grow their lead to 32-19. The Purple Raiders held on to their lead for the rest of the first half and went into halftime up, 43-31.

Mount Union continued with their momentum from the first half into the second half going on another quick 10-0 run to increase their lead to 50-31. The Purple Raiders maintained the pace throughout the remainder of the contest en route to the league win.

  • The Muskies next look to defend home court when they take on Heidelberg in the Hall of Fame Game on Saturday, February 8. The Muskies will honor Athletic Hall of Fame inductees Tom Dillard '66 (Football), Trent Cubbison '89 (Track & Field), Jamie Eastham Jones '05 (Track & Field), and Kim Tackett '07 (Softball) during the halftime. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. in the Anne C. Steele Center.
