Tristan Howell '21 enters his first season as Linebackers Coach for the Muskingum football program.

Howell begins his tenure on the Muskingum coaching staff after spending four seasons as a linebacker for the Muskies. Howell, an OAD Defensive Player of the Week honoree, tallied 160 tackles, five interceptions, one fumble recovery, and one sack during his career. Howell served as a team captain during the 2022 campaign and was a key contributor on defense during Muskingum's 2021 and 2022 seasons which saw the program achieve back-to-back five-win years for the first time since 1995 and 1996.

Outside of Muskingum, Howell also serves as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force Reserve, and he also spent time as a Security Forces Defender at Fort Dix in New Jersey.

Howell earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Muskingum in 2021.
