Crawford named Co-OAC Football Player of the Week

The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that senior quarterback Doug Crawford earned Co-OAC Offensive Player of the Week.

Crawford earned Co-Offensive Player of the Week after he tallied a Muskingum record of 511 passing yards, and a record for total offense in a game with 578 total yards of offense (511 passing / 67 rushing). These records were previously held by Jordan Garrett (482 passing / 492 total yards) since the 2021 campaign. Crawford also accounted for seven touchdowns (five passing / two rushing) in the contest and helped fuel Muskingum to a program record 37 first downs; a record that had been set in the 1999 campaign against Hiram. These offensive numbers helped lead Muskingum to a 64-63 win over Wilmington on Saturday, which was the most points in a game since 1960 when Muskingum beat Waynesburg 66-7. He completed the game going 32-of-45 passing with five touchdowns, and added in 19 carries for 67 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Crawford will lead the Muskies against rival Marietta in the Shriner Game on Saturday, November 11, at 1:30 p.m.
