Brown, Bowie, Garrett, and Unger earn All-OAC Football honors

The Ohio Athletic Conference has named Muskingum football senior defensive back Brian Brown to the All-OAC Defensive Team, while senior linebacker Nehemiah Bowie, junior quarterback Jordan Garrett, and freshman tight end Gannon Unger earned All-OAC Honorable Mention honors.

Brown, a spring 2021 captain, led the Muskie defense with a team-high three interceptions and was second on the team in tackles with 28. His three-interception performance in the OAC Crossover Divisional Game at Otterbein is tied for second all-time at Muskingum for interceptions in a game. He also is tied for eighth all-time in career interceptions with 13. This marks the second straight season that Brown has earned All-OAC accolades.

Bowie led Muskingum with a team-high 30 tackles averaging 10 tackles per game. He also added one sack for three yards, and notched one interception. He was a team captain for the spring 2021 campaign.

Garrett, a spring 2021 captain, led the Muskie offense going 64-of-110 with 686 yards passing and four touchdowns. He averaged 228.7 passing yards per game. Garrett also added 72 yards rushing on 30 carries and hauled in one reception for a 22-yard touchdown.

Unger grabbed 10 receptions for 80 yards and averaged 27.0 yards receiving per game. He also tossed one touchdown for 22 yards. Unger scored his first career touchdown against Mount Union in the opening game of the season.
