Football announces postseason honors

The Muskingum football coaching staff has announced that senior running back Jordan Scanlon and senior linebacker Chaney Fulton have been named the Offensive and Defensive Most Valuable Players for the 2016 season. Furthermore, senior wide receiver Jordan Turek and senior offensive lineman Brandon Peluso were honored with the Coaches Award.

Scanlon led the Muskies in rushing with 495 yards and four touchdowns. He also hauled in 27 receptions for 195 yards and three scores. Furthermore, Scanlon led the team with 42 points. 

Fulton led the team with 77 tackles and recorded two interceptions, including one for a 30-yard touchdown. He ended his career ranked third all-time in career tackles with 355 and ranked ninth all-time in career sacks with 12.5. 

Turek had 12 receptions for 128 yards and one touchdown. He started all 10 games. Peluso was an emotionally leader on the offensive line and helped the Muskies churn out 260.6 yards per game.
