The Muskingum football team had a 21-10 third quarter evaporate as Otterbein scored the final 18 points of the game to beat the Muskies on a cold Saturday night, 28-21.

How It Happened
- After falling behind 7-0 in the first quarter, the Muskies stormed back to outscore Otterbein 21-3 over the next two-plus quarters to take a 21-10 lead midway through the third frame.
- Otterbein answered the Muskie surge and ended the game with 18 unanswered points to turn back the Muskies.
- The setback marked the third game in the last four that Muskingum has held a lead in the fourth quarter.
- Junior running back Melvin Smith led the offense rushing for 122 yards on 20 totes with one touchdown. Smith averaged 6.1 yards per carry.
- Senior quarterback Cody Williams completed 11-of-24 for 123 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
- Sophomore receiver Aron Sutton and freshman tight end Granger Long each registered their first career touchdown reception. Sutton caught an 11-yard touchdown and Long hauled in a five-yard score.
- Muskingum ended the game with 330 yards of offense.
- Senior linebacker Chaney Fulton led the Muskie defense with 14 tackles and one interception for 14 yards.
- Freshman Cle'Von Burch added nine stops and blocked a field goal attempt.
- Otterbein mustered 268 yards of offense.
- Kevan Green passed for 201 yards going 21-of-35 for two touchdown and two interceptions.
- Julian Lowe led the Cardinal receivers with 11 grabs for 92 yards and three scores.
- Drew Erwin led the Otterbein defense with 14 tackles.
