Esports continues ECAC Playoffs action

Muskingum Esports continues their quest for an ECAC national championship with four teams advancing to the quarterfinals round.

Monday, April 11 – The Muskingum Rainbow Six Siege team defeated SUNY Canton 2-1 on Monday night to advance to the ECAC semi-finals. The Muskies fell in game one 7-4, but rebounded to claim game two, 7-4. With their season on the line, the first-seed Muskies came through with a clutch 7-3 game three win to secure the victory.

Thursday, April 14 – The Muskingum Halo team saw their season come to an end on Thursday after falling 2-1 to Albion in the ECAC quarterfinals. The Muskies dropped game one 50-49 and fell in game two 262-260. Muskingum rebounded with a 250-126 win in game three and 2-1 win in game four, but dropped the decisive game five 50-48.

Madden Hively picked up a 2-0 win over Kean on Thursday night to advance to the ECAC semi-finals. Hively won game one 37-28, and secured the match with a 23-15 win in game two. Hively will take on Cumberland on Thursday, April 21, with a spot in the championship game on the line.

Madden Crawford fell 2-1 to Cumberland to conclude their 2022 spring season. Crawford dropped game one 34-21, but battled back for a 27-21 win in game two. However, Cumberland won game three 31-21 to secure the match.
