Esports Weekly Recap (10/25-10/30)

The Muskingum Esports team has compiled a combined record of 8-4 for the week of 10/25-10/30.

The Basics

  • The Muskies are now a combined 33-25 across all games.

 

Monday (10/25) – Rainbow Six Siege

  • The Muskingum Rainbow Six Siege Black team defeated SUNY Canton 7-0 and 7-5 to earn a convincing 2-0 sweep.
  • The Muskingum Rainbow Six Red team dropped their match against Bryant 2-0.

 

Tuesday (10/26) – Valorant

  • The Muskingum Valorant team defeated St. John's 2-0 on Tuesday night. The Muskies took game one 13-9 and won game two 14-12 to complete their sweep.
  • Koulton "Valatiion" Fisher was named MVP of the match with 57 kills and eight assists.

 

Wednesday (10/27) – Overwatch & Rocket League

  • The Muskingum Overwatch team defeated Missouri Western State 3-1 on Wednesday night. The Muskies captured game one 2-1, dropped game two 3-2, won game three 2-1, and claimed game four 5-4.
  • The Muskingum Rocket League team defeated Erie Community College 3-2 on Wednesday night. The Muskies lost game one 3-2, but were able to bounce back in game two, winning 3-1. Erie claimed game three 1-0, but the Muskies captured game four 3-1 and game five 4-2 to win the match.

 

Thursday (10/28) – Madden & Fortnite

  • Madden (Crawford) defeated Randolph-Macon 2-0 (47-21, 35-28).
  • Madden (Hively) beat Clarke 2-0 (34-7, 35-14).
  • Madden (Lawrence) defeated New York Tech 2-0 (28-0, 28-18).
  • Madden (Smith) defeated Muskingum (Atkins) 2-0 (27-9, 24-10).
  • Madden (Stringfellow) lost to Buena Vista 2-0 (21-12, 42-6).
  • Muskingum's Fortnite team finished in first-place twice, and recorded a third-place finish during ECAC week 5 regular season action.

 

Saturday (10/30) – League of Legends

  • The Muskingum League of Legends team lost their match against Long Island University 2-1.

  • Muskingum Esports will be back in action on Saturday, October 30 when the Muskie League of Legends team battles Long Island. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
