Baseball wins home opener over Ohio Wesleyan

The Muskingum baseball team came away with a 5-1 win in their home opener over the Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops.

  • Muskingum scored five runs on ten hits and had one error.
  • Junior Tobie Teke led the way for the Muskies with two hits, two RBI's, and one run scored.
  • Sophomore Sam Palmieri recorded two hits and one RBI.
  • Senior Ryan Schwartz and junior Weston Melick each had a hit.
  • Senior Quinten Collins had one hit, one RBI, and scored one run.
  • Senior Wyatt Reeder knocked out two hits with one run scored.

  • Sophomore Jake Roshau earned his first save of the year after taking control of things in the seventh and giving up zero runs, while tallying four strikeouts.
  • Edrick Padilla led the Battling Bishops with two hits and one run scored.
