Baseball overpowers Oberlin

The Muskingum baseball team was too much for Oberlin to handle in an overpowering performance. Using a 14-run fifth inning to secure the win, the Muskies finished the game with a final score of 23-2.

  • Muskingum scored 23 runs on 13 hits and had zero errors.
  • The Muskies hung 14 runs on Oberlin in the fifth inning.
  • Sophomore Louie Hess led the Muskies with three hits and four RBI's.
  • Senior Wyatt Reeder had two hits and four RBI's to fuel a stout Muskie offense. Reeder scored three runs.
  • Senior Gavin Hawk fired off three hits, one RBI, and scored two runs.
  • Freshman Conner Thamann had three RBI's and three runs scored. Thamann had one hit and three walks.
  • Junior Weston Melick had one hit and two walks. Melick brought in two RBI's and scored twice himself.
  • Freshman Aiden Reis walked three times while recording two RBI's.
  • Sophomore Sam Palmieri walked twice while earning an RBI in the contest. Palmieri notched four runs scored in the contest.
  • Sophomore Max Vosters earned the win with a impressive six innings of work on the mound. 
  • Joe Strabley led Oberlin with two hits and was a run scored. 
  • Jay Aghanya was the other run scored for Oberlin.
