Baseball sweeps Chatham in season opener

The Muskingum baseball team swept Chatham in its season opener. The doubleheader was played in Cadiz, Ohio at Mazeroski Field. Muskingum won the opener 12-5 and took the nightcap in seven innings, 11-0.

  • Sophomore Sam Palmieri earned three runs and was walked three times.
  • Sophomore Mike Davis and freshman Grant Mellerson each finished with a run.
  • Freshman Shoei Yamashita pitched five innings, throwing 58 pitches and 43 strikes. Yamashita totaled four strikeouts and earned a win.
