Baseball to host 2nd Annual First Pitch Dinner

The Muskingum University Baseball Program will host its 2nd Annual First Pitch Dinner on February 10 in the Bullock Health & Wellness Complex on Muskingum's campus. This year's keynote speaker will be Muskie Baseball alum Ramone Davenport '98, Director of Dohn Community High School in Cincinnati.

Davenport earned his degree from Muskingum and was a four-year varsity athlete in both football and baseball during his time as a Muskie. Davenport began his career in education at Dohn as the head of the science department, then moved into the role of Dean of Students, then to Assistant Principal, then to Principal. His current role, Director of Dohn Community High School, is a combination of the Superintendent role as well as the role of the Principal. When Mr. Davenport started at Dohn, the school had one location with 50 students. Now, under Davenport's leadership, Dohn offers 5 locations with over 800 students.

The 2024 First Pitch Dinner will begin at 5:30 pm, with dinner being served at 7:00 pm. The event will also feature a silent and live auction. Limited spots are available, so those interested are asked to register now. Registration will close on February 3.
