The Muskingum baseball team posted a 1-0-1 record against Heidelberg on Saturday afternoon. The Muskies won the opener 12-1 in seven innings and tied game two 7-7 after the contest was called due to darkness following the ninth inning.

Game 1
- Muskingum junior Jake Norris fired a complete-game five-hitter with one run and 10 strikeouts. The win was his third of the season.
- Muskingum led 4-1, heading into the bottom of the fifth. The Muskies erupted for eight runs to stretch their lead to 12-1. Junior Brett Carson highlighted the surge with a three-run home run and sophomore Devin Ryan's two-run single.
- Muskingum ended the outing with 12 runs on 14 hits. The Muskies belted eight doubles.
- Carson led the team with four RBIs and three runs while going 3-for-4 at the plate.
- Ryan went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs.
- Freshman Ryan Schwartz and freshman Nick Congrove each added a pair of runs.
- Heidelberg ended the game with one run on five hits.
- Ross Thompson took the loss after going 4.1 innings and allowing seven runs on 10 hits.

- Freshman Clark Jennings, junior Craig Nixon, and freshman Erik Cover all combined to the final four innings.
- Muskingum scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth to take a 7-6 lead. Ryan and Carson each smacked RBI singles.
- Heidelberg took advantage of a Muskie error in the top of the ninth to tie the game.
