The Muskingum baseball team fell in a road doubleheader to Mount Union in OAC action on Saturday afternoon. The Muskies lost Game 1, 9-7, and fell in the nightcap, 8-1.

Inside The Numbers - Game 1
- Sophomore Brayden Bush started on the mound for the Muskies, pitching the first 3.2 innings allowing eight runs off six hits.
- Sophomore Devin Ryan led the Muskies going 4-for-5 with one RBI.
- Junior Brett Carson added three hits with two doubles, one home run, and two RBIs.
- Senior Matt Stewart chipped in two hits for Muskingum.
- Eric Schilling led Mount Union, going 4-for-5 and hitting for the cycle.

- The Muskies started the scoring in the first inning with an RBI from junior Chayce Lundell.

- Muskingum gained three runs in the fifth inning to make it 8-4.
- The Purple Raiders scored once in the fifth to increase their lead to 9-4.
- The Muskies earned three more runs in the late innings but wasn't enough as Mount Union held on, 9-7.

- Junior Jake Norris pitched the first six innings for the Muskies, allowing seven runs on nine hits.
- Leading the Muskie offense was senior Matt Stewart with two hits and one RBI.
- Freshman Nick Congrove and Freshman Andy Eurez each added two hits.
- Ryan and sophomore Drew Dittoe each chipped in one hit for Muskingum.
- Walker Marlowe led Mount Union with two hits and three RBIs.
- Zach Mazza notched two hits and two RBIs.
- Carson Davis pitched a complete game for the Purple Raiders, allowing one run off eight hits. He also tallied seven strikeouts.
The Difference - Game 2
- Mount Union got on the board first in the first inning off an RBI single from Trey Weaver.
- Muskingum tied it up, 1-1, off an RBI single from Stewart.
- The Purple Raiders regained the lead in the third inning from a Mazza home run.
- Mount Union used a 6-0 run in the next several innings to secure the win, 8-1.
