Leitenberger, Lynn and Shumar earn All-OAC honors

The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum senior outfielder Christian Leitenberger has been named First Team All-OAC, while junior first baseman Joe Shumar and junior second baseman Matt Lynn were both named All-OAC Honorable Mention.

Leitenberger led the team with a career-best .377 batting average. He posted career-high numbers with 57 hits, 47 RBIs, 34 runs scored, seven doubles, seven triples and five home runs. Leitenberger's seven triples tied for the most in a single season at Muskingum and his 11 career triples rank third all-time. His 115 hits rank 46th at Muskingum.

Shumar had a career-high year with a .353 batting average with 45 hits, 26 RBIs, 26 runs scored, nine doubles and one triple. He also logged a team-best 22 walks and five sacrifice hits. He will enter his senior campaign with 121 career hits, which ranks 40th all-time at Muskingum.

Lynn posted career-best numbers with a .327 batting average with 49 hits, 32 runs, 20 RBIs, four doubles and one triple. He ended the campaign with a .974 fielding percentage and will enter his senior year ranked 53rd in Muskie history with 105 hits.
