Madison McGee '22 named Muskingum volleyball assistant coach

Madison McGee '22 has been named assistant coach for the Muskingum volleyball program.

McGee arrives back on campus after working as a graduate assistant coach at the University of Pikeville. At Pikeville, McGee assisted in the planning and conducting of practices, analyzing game films, developing game strategies, and mentoring student-athletes. She also provided academic support and organized team logistics such as travel arrangements, meals, and budget and equipment management.

Before Pikeville, McGee was a graduate assistant coach at West Virginia State University. McGee assisted with all aspects of the Yellow Jackets program.

McGee was a standout student-athlete for Muskingum. She was a two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree and earned Great Lakes All-Region accolades and Honorable Mention All-American honors as a member of the Muskingum volleyball team. She helped lead Muskingum to two OAC Regular Season Championships and to the NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament. McGee ended her Muskie career with 649 kills, 291 digs, and 70 blocks.

McGee graduated from Muskingum in 2022 with a B.A. in Athletic Training and a B.A. in Health & Fitness. She graduated from Pikeville in 2024 with an MBA in Healthcare Management.
