Muskingum freshman Anthony Zapata finished eighth in the 285-pound bracket to lead the Muskies at the Pete Willson Wheaton Invitational on Saturday.
The Basics
- Muskingum placed 26th in the 32-team invitational.
- The event was hosted by Wheaton.
On the Mat
- Freshman Anthony Zapata led the Muskies with a 4-3 overall record at the two-day event. Zapata battled out through the bottom bracket by winning four straight matches, including two by fall, to place eighth in the 285-pound division.
- Freshman Jordan Burkholder went 2-2 in the 133-pound weight class. He posted a major decision and decision.
- Freshman Tanner Walker opened the invitational with a fall in the 165-pound weight class.
