Sophomore Caitlyn DeMassimo set school records for points in a game (38), free throws made in a game (16), and free throws attempted in a game (17) to fuel Muskingum to a thrilling 89-83 double-overtime victory over 11th-ranked Ohio Northern in a raucous Steele Center.

  • Sophomore Caitlyn DeMassimo set the school record for points in a game with 38. The previous record was 37, which was set by Jessica McKenzie against Manhattanville during the 2008-09 season, Tiffany Youel vs. Dension during the 2008-09 season, and Heather Rakosik at Otterbein during the 1996-97 season.
  • DeMassimo also set new records for free throws made in a game (16) and free throws attempted in a game (17). The previous record for free throws made in a game was 12, set by assistant coach Olivia Besancon against Wooster during the 2017-18 season and Jessica Gates at John Carroll during the 2001-02 season.
  • The previous record for free throw attempts in a game was 14 set by assistant coach Olivia Besancon vs. Wooster during the 2017-18 season, Jessica McKenzie at John Carroll during the 2006-07 season, and Julie Hoag vs. Heidelberg during the 1988-89 season.
  • This season, the Muskies shot a school record .790 (233-295) from the free-throw line, breaking the previous record of .771 set by the 2017-18 team.
  • The thrilling victory over the Polar Bears marked the first win over Ohio Northern since the 2019-20 season.

  • Sophomore Caitlyn DeMassimo notched a program record 38 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and tallied three steals en route to leading the Muskies.
  • Junior Taylor DeMassimo added 16 points, five rebounds, and registered a team-high five steals.
  • Freshman Lizzy Allen ended the contest with 10 points, six rebounds, and tallied a team-high five steals for the Muskies.
  • Freshman Tori Jones finished with eight points which included knocking down two triples coming off the bench for the Muskies.
  • Freshman Claudia Harrington chipped in seven points, which included hitting a beyond half-court three-pointer at the buzzer to end the first half. She also grabbed four boards.
  • As a team, Muskingum finished 26-of-63 (41.3%) from the field, while firing 14-of-35 (40.0%) from three-point range.
  • Muskingum forced 15 Polar Bear turnovers and converted them into 15 points-off-turnovers.
  • Muskingum saw their bench contribute 12 points, while Ohio Northern's second unit chipped in eight.
  • Brynn Serbin led Ohio Northern with 21 points.
  • Kristen Luersman added a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds to help pace the Polar Bears.
