Women’s Basketball stumbles at Marietta

The Muskingum women's basketball team fell to OAC-foe Marietta on Wednesday night. The Muskies will be back in action on Saturday, February 4, when they host Heidelberg at 4:00 p.m.

Records: Muskingum (7-13 Overall, 4-9 OAC), Marietta (14-6 Overall, 9-4 OAC)

Inside the Numbers

  • Muskingum was led by freshman Claudia Harrington who led all scorers with 17 points and three rebounds.
  • Sophomore Halle Morehead added six points and two rebounds, while sophomore Kenzie Bicking also chipped in six points coming off the bench for Muskingum.
  • Junior Taylor DeMassimo tallied five points on the night for the Muskies, while freshman Lizzy Allen dished-out a team-high three assists.
  • Sophomore Caitlyn DeMassimo and freshman Abby Boeing each grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
  • Marietta was led by Erin Hahn who finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Devin Hefner added nine points for the Pioneers.
  • As a team, Muskingum shot 18-for-52 (34.6%) from the field, while Marietta finished 26-for-66 (39.4%) from the floor.
  • The Pioneers controlled the glass, finishing with a 47-29 advantage in rebounds.
  • Marietta forced 16 Muskingum turnovers and converted them into 17 points-off-turnovers. On the flip side, Marietta had 10 turnovers on the evening, and the Muskies converted them into nine points.
  • The Pioneers outscored the Muskies 38-26 in the paint as well.
