Sophomore Abby Jones finished with a career-high 27 points, as the Muskingum women's basketball team fell short against Kenyon, 83-77.

  • Sophomore Abby Jones finished with a career-high 27 points to guide the Muskie offense. She shot 10-for-14 (71.4%) from the field and finished 3-for-4 (75.0%) from behind the arc. Jones also finished with a team-high of eight rebounds.
  • Senior Tanner Wirth added 12 points and dished out three assists.
  • Sophomore Leia Smith also added 12 points, grabbed three rebounds, and had one block.

How it Happened

  • In the opening quarter, the Muskies were 6-for-10 (60.0%) from behind the arc securing a 26-18 lead.
  • With 5:00 minutes remaining in the half, both squads traded baskets as the quarter saw the score tied five times, but it was the Muskies who led going into the break 42-41.
  • Kenyon saw their biggest lead of the afternoon of nine, but the Muskies were able to trim the Lady 63-58 lead going into the final period.
  • Muskingum cut the Kenyon lead down to three with 1:15 left in the contest but clutch free-throws stretched out the Kenyon lead making it the final, 83-77.
  • Kenyon edged the Muskies in points in the paint 50-42.
  • Muskingum utilized their bench as they outscored Kenyon in bench points, 19-0.
