Smith earns OAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for second time

Muskingum softball junior pitcher Hannah Smith earned OAC Softball Pitcher of the Week after her outstanding performances vs. Marietta this past weekend. This marks the second time she has won this accolade.

Smith posted a 2-0 record from the circle after seeing action in 13 innings of work, allowing a combined one earned run on seven hits, and notching 14 total strikeouts over the weekend. She finished the week with an astounding 1.00 ERA.

In Game 1 of the Saturday doubleheader, Smith pitched a complete game for the Muskies allowing one earned run off four hits and secured seven strikeouts in a 3-2 win.

In Game 1 of the Sunday doubleheader, she pitched all six innings for Muskingum and earned her tenth win of the season. She held the Pioneers to just one run off three hits and grabbed seven strikeouts during the contest in a 9-1 victory.

The Muskies will next travel to Ada, Ohio to take on Ohio Northern in OAC doubleheader action on Saturday, May 1. Game 1 is set for 1:00 p.m., and Game 2 is set for 3:00 p.m.
