Three Muskies earn All-OAC Accolades for the first time in Program History

For the first time in program history, the Muskingum men's lacrosse team was honored with three All-Ohio Athletic Conference selections and its first-ever First Team All-OAC honoree.

Junior Drew Schneider was named First Team All-OAC, senior Spencer Zecchini was awarded Second Team All-OAC, and senior Trevor Connolly was Honorable Mention All-OAC.

Schneider, a First Team selection as a face-off, led the OAC in face-offs won with 247 and ground balls with 164. He went 247-for-370 (66.8%) on faceoff attempts which is a Muskingum record for the highest face-off win percentage in a season. Schneider is the first player in program history to be selected as a First Team All-OAC honoree. He finished the year with 10 goals, five assists, and nine caused turnovers.

Zecchini, a Second Team selection as an attack, is earning his fourth All-OAC selection. Zecchini was a force to be reckoned with as he was third in the OAC in goals (45), first in the OAC in assists (31), second in the OAC in points (76), and second in the OAC in shots (162). He ended up re-writing the record books as he holds numerous Muskingum records. Zecchini holds the record for most points in a single game with 15 points (five goals and 10 assists), assists in a game with 10, most goals in a season with 45, most assists in a season with 31, and the most points in a season with 76.

Connolly, an Honorable Mention selection at goalkeeper, is earning his second consecutive All-OAC Honorable Mention accolade following his outstanding year. Connolly finished second in the OAC in saves (208), third in the OAC in save percentage (58.1%), and fourth in the OAC with goals-against average (10.10). Connolly started in 16 games and added 59 ground balls to his impressive resume.
