Singleton fires career-low 66 to lead Muskingum at OAC Preview

Senior Trey Singleton fired a career-low round of 66 en route to finishing third at the OAC Preview on Saturday-Sunday at River Greens Golf Course. Singleton's 66 is tied for the second lowest round in Muskingum history. The record is held by Muskingum Hall of Fame Member Ryan Lescalleet '03 who shot a 65 at the Muskingum Invitational during the 2001-02 campaign.

The Basics

  • The two-day event took place at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette, Ohio.
  • Muskingum finished third out of eight teams.
  • As a team, the Muskies carded a score of 595 (305-290).
  • John Carroll placed first with a team score of 578 (288-290).

 On the Course

  • Singleton shot a 143 (77-66) to finish third in the 62-golfer field. He was fourth in par-5 scoring (-4), fourth in par-4 scoring (+1), and seventh in par-3 scoring (+2). Singleton tied for the tournament lead in total birdies with nine and logged 19 pars.
  • Sophomore Ethan Miller finished tied for 12th shooting a 149 (74-75).  
  • Sophomore Cameron Henry carded a 152 (77-75) to land tied for 20th.
  • Junior Chase Karling notched a 160 (86-74) finished 41st.
  • Senior Caleb Barnette carded a 161 (77-84) to finish 42nd to round out the Muskie effort.
