Men's Bowling rank 19th in USBC National Poll

Men's Bowling ranked 19th in the latest United States Bowling Conference (USBC) National Poll. The Muskies are the fourth ranked Club Team in the rankings.

The team finishes in 19th place following a third place finish at the Ohio Bowling Conference #5. No individual scores were recorded at the tournament, but instead used bakers scores. The Muskies finished the Ohio Bowling Conference season in third place as a team. The Ohio Bowling Conference is the largest collegiate conference in the country.

Multiple Muskies earned conference honors this year in the OBC. Junior Evan Thro led the way with a 1st Team All-Conference honor. Senior Ethan McDonald was awarded 2nd Team All-Conference, while also earning the Champion of Character Award for the season. Freshman Talon Newton was awarded the Newcomer of the Year Award and rounded out the Ohio Bowling Conference honors for the Muskies.

The team ended with eight Muskies averaging above 200 pins per game. Leading the scoring average was Thro who tallie dan impressive 213.84 pins per game. Thro finished with three Top 5 finishes, and five Top 10 finishes. McDonald earned the lone individual win for a Muskie bowler this year, which he did at the Muskie Mash. Sophomore Brody Wildenmann earned a team high eight Top 25 finishes for the Muskies this year. 

Muskingum will be back in action on Friday, March 8, when they compete in the USBC Sectionals at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Michigan. This will be a three day tournament with times still TBA.
