Men's Bowling ranked 17th in latest USBC National Poll

Men's Bowling is ranked 17th in the most recent United States Bowling Congress (USBC) National Poll. The Muskies power back up the rankings after competing in the Kegel Midwest Championship.

With four tournaments still left in the season for the Muskies, they have displayed multiple dominant performances. The men's bowling team has two first place finishes at the Welcome Back Tournament, and the Ohio Bowling Conference #3 tournament. They did so in commanding fashion at the Welcome Back Tournament, beating the second-place team by over 300 pins. Nearly doing the same at the Ohio Bowling Conference #3 tournament, where they beat the second-place team by over 200 pins. Two absolutely dominant performances from the men's bowling team in their two team wins on the year.

The men's bowling team have added in two second-place finishes at the Lehigh Valley Classic and the Ohio Bowling Conference #1 tournament. Both runner-up finishes combined came out to be only 75 pins away from the first-place teams. They also performed well at the Ohio Bowling Conference #2 tournament, where they finished fourth as a team.

The Muskies are led by a dynamic duo of freshman Jacob Willard and junior Evan Thro who are each averaging 212 pins per game. While sophomore Brody Wildenmann follows them up with a 211 average and four top-10 finishes this season. Senior Ethan McDonald throws in a 205 average with sophomore John Jacobs, and senior Andrew Amore both close behind averaging 202 and 200, respectively.

Muskingum will look for their third win of the bowling season on Saturday, January 20, at the Ohio Bowling Conference #4 tournament. The tournament will begin at 10:00 a.m.
