Men's Bowling competed in the Roto Grip Keystone Quaker Classic and Lehigh Valley Classic

Men's Bowling had a strong showing over the week with a sixth-place finish at the Roto Grip Keystone Classic, and a second-place finish at the Lehigh Valley Classic.

Lehigh Valley Classic

The Basics

  • Muskingum finished the tournament in second.
  • The Muskies tallied a total team score of 9408, which was only four shy of first place. 
  • The event took place in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
  • Sophomore John Jacobs, freshman Talon Newton, and sophomore Brody Wildenmann finished inside the Top-10 as individuals.

Inside The Numbers

  • Sophomore John Jacobs led the Muskies with a third-place finish individually. Jacobs tallied a 226.8 (191- 259-211-226-247) average over five games.
  • Freshman Talon Newton also finished with an impressive 225.8 (203-278-193-234-221) average over five games. This was good for a fourth-place finish individually. 
  • Sophomore Brody Wildenmann racked up an eighth-place finish individually with a 221.2 (176-220-264-254-192) average over five games.
  • Senior Andrew Amore tallied a 202.3 average in three games for the Muskies.
  • Sophomore Kenny Haslip bowled three games where he averaged a 193.3.
  • Junior Evan Thro bowled two games with an average of 233.
  • Freshman Jacob Willard threw in two games with an average of 172.

Roto Grip Keystone Classic

The Basics

  • Muskingum finished the tournament in sixth-place.
  • The Muskies scored a team total of 8955. 
  • The event took place in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
  • Junior Evan Thro finished inside the Top-5 as an individual, and tied for high-game of the day with a 279 in his second game.

Inside The Numbers

  • Junior Evan Thro finished the tournament with a 222.8 (243-279-188-198-206) average, which was good for fourth-place individually, as well as being awarded high-game of the day with a 279.
  • Sophomore Brody Wildenmann finished eleventh as an individual with a 216 (190-257-258-201-174) average.
  • Senior Ethan McDonald threw in an average of 207.4 (221-226-174-219-197), which was good for a Top-20 finish individually. 
  • Sophomore John Jacobs recorded a 199.3 average over four games for the Muskies.
  • Sophomore Kenny Haslip bowled three games and came away with a 194 average. 
  • Freshman Talon Newton bowled two games for a 179 average.
  • Senior Andrew Amore added in a one game score of 177 to round out the Muskies.
