Muskingum sophomore infielder Sam Palmieri was honored for his outstanding performance by being named Ohio Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week.

Palmieri earned the Baseball Hitter of the Week award following a stretch of games where he batted a blistering .643 at the plate. He added in a .750 on-base percentage and a 1.143 slugging percentage at the leadoff hitter for the Muskies. He has accumulated nine hits in his last 14 at bats, which has included two doubles, one triple, one home run, and four RBI's. To round out this hot performance at the plate, Palmieri has also accounted for two stolen bases.
