The Muskingum baseball team dropped a road non-conference matchup with Kenyon, 5-3.

The Basics

The Difference

• After Kenyon scored three runs in the second inning and one in the fourth inning, the Muskies found the scoreboard for the first time in the sixth inning off a sacrifice fly from junior Dominic Gorence.
• Kenyon was able to answer right away in the sixth inning off a solo home run to push their lead back to 5-1.
• The Muskies made a late push in the eighth inning with solo homers from sophomore Drew Dittoe and sophomore Quinten Collins, but it wasn't enough as Kenyon held on for the 5-3 win.

Inside the Numbers

• The Muskies were led by sophomore Quinten Collins who finished 2-3 with a solo home run and a walk.
• Junior Allex Santacroce went 2-5 with a run scored, while sophomore Drew Dittoe went 1-2 with a solo homer.
• Sophomore Gavin Hawk, senior Trey Yoder, and sophomore Andy Eurez each collected a hit for the Muskies as well.
• Sophomore Noah Moser got the start on the mound for Muskingum. Moser pitched three innings and gave up three earned runs.
• Freshman Austin Lippolis, sophomore Cade Burton, sophomore Liam Carey, and senior Drew Eaches each pitched in relief for the Muskies.
