Carson and Ryan named All-OAC for Baseball

The Ohio Athletic Conference has named Muskingum baseball junior outfielder Brett Carson First Team All-OAC and sophomore infielder Devin Ryan Second Team All-OAC for the 2021 season.

Carson earns his second All-OAC honor after leading the Muskies batting a .405, while also being fifth in the OAC. He was second on the team in hits with a career-high 49, second in doubles with a career-best 14, notched a career-high four home runs, and was tied for first on the team in RBIs with a career-best 28. Carson also made six starts on the mound and secured a career-high 28 strikeouts.

Ryan notched his first All-OAC accolade after leading Muskingum with a team-best and career-highs in hits (50), doubles (15), and tied for first in RBIs (28). He was second on the team batting a career-best .391, while notching two triples and one home run. Ryan also earned OAC Baseball Hitter of the Week honors and was named Honorable Mention Division III Hitter of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
