Conrad, Flood, Huck, and Dickson named Volleyball captains

Muskingum volleyball Head Coach Hallie Cruzen has announced the selection of captains for the 2022 season. Senior setter Emma Conrad, junior middle hitter Raegan Flood, junior setter Lexie Huck, and junior setter Abigail Dickson will lead the Muskingum volleyball team this season.

Conrad, who's entering her second season as a volleyball captain, finished with a career-high 401 assists during the 2021 campaign. Conrad also tallied 239 digs, 25 kills, and averaged 4.13 assists per set a season ago. Conrad was also honored with Academic All-OAC accolades following the 2021 season.

Flood, a two-time volleyball captain and Academic All-OAC honoree as well, enters the 2022 season after tallying career-highs in kills (149), digs (59), points (186), and blocks (41) last season. Flood also dished out 13 assists and tallied a hitting percentage of .227.

In her first season with the Muskies in 2021, Huck made an instant impact on the offensive side of the ball. Huck registered 147 kills to help lead the Muskie attack, while also registering 41 digs and dishing out 17 assists.

Dickson, a member of the Academic All-OAC team a season ago, will look to provide veteran leadership to the Muskies this year. A member of Muskingum's 2021 spring Ohio Athletic Conference Regular-Season Championship team, Dickson will help guide the defense as Muskingum looks to compete for the OAC crown.

Muskingum opens their season on Friday, September 2, when they take on Grove City at the Great Lakes Crossover. Game time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the Cedar Point Sports Complex. The Muskies will open OAC play on Wednesday, September 28, when they travel to Otterbein.
