McAdams breaks school record in 5k and earns All-OAC to lead women's indoor track & field at OAC Championships

Senior Macy McAdams broke the school record in the 5K and earned All-OAC accolades to lead the Muskingum women's indoor track & field team at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships on Friday evening.

Notables

  • Senior Macy McAdams set the school record for the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:43.83. She topped her own record that was set in 2018 with a time of 18:08.90. She took second place in the event to earn All-OAC honors.
  • The Muskies finished in ninth place out of a 10-team field.
  • Muskingum finished with a total of 15 points.
  • John Carroll placed first with 216 points.

  • Muskingum was led by McAdams, who finished second with the new school record for the 5,000-meter run with 17:43.83 while securing All-OAC.
  • The 4x200 meter relay team of senior Mary Double, junior Macey Mills, sophomore Emily Fieseler, and junior Spencer Neville earned sixth with a time of 1:57.24
  • The distance medley of Neville, sophomore Kelsey Saxton, senior Louisa Smith, and senior Mikayla Deiotte placed seventh with a time of 16:27.53.
  • The 4x200 meter relay team of Double, Neville, Smith, and Saxton earned seventh with a time of 4:41.78.
