The Muskingum women's tennis team dropped a thriller in its season-opening match against Geneva on Saturday afternoon, 5-4.

- Senior Jane Boyer, sophomore Scarlett Martell, senior Evelyn Pauquette, and junior Amanda Plaskett led Muskingum on the courts.
- Martell and Plaskett opened the Muskie scoring with an 8-5 win at third doubles against Cassy Kehs and Sarah Kelly.
- Martell also won her match at fourth singles with a 6-4, 7-5 triumph against Cejaelyn Perednia.
- Pauquette won in second singles against Delaney Winterhalter in three sets 6-2, 5-7, 6-3.
- Boyer rounded out the Muskie effort with a convincing 6-3, 6-1 win against Kehs at fifth singles.
