The Muskingum women's soccer team celebrated their faculty and staff appreciation game against non-conference opponent Kenyon on Wednesday evening. The Muskies dropped the physical battle, 1-0.

  • At halftime, the Muskingum Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the women's soccer program honored staff and faculty for their endless support to Muskingum Athletics.

How it Happened

  • The only goal of the contest would be decided at the 21:06 mark when Sadie Gould found the back of the net off a corner kick from Morgan Baker.

  • The Muskie attack was led by sophomore Madison Yenke who tallied four shots.
  • Sophomore Morgan Meisel and freshman Hannah Ritchie ended the Muskingum offensive effort with one shot apiece.
  • Junior goalkeeper Kelly Buck racked up nine saves in 90 minutes of work for the Muskies.
  • Sadie Gould led the Owl offensive with five shots and a goal.
  • Kenyon goalkeeper Leah Anderson snagged two saves in 90 minutes of work in goal.

Muskingum will be back in action on Saturday, October 1, when they travel to take on Heidelberg to open up OAC action. Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
