Herrick named OAC Defensive Player of the Week

The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced freshman defender Britney Herrick was named OAC Defensive Player of the Week for her outstanding performances against Hiram and Bluffton. Herrick helped guide the Muskies to a 2-0 record last week and this honor marks her first career DPOW accolade.

The Muskies opened last week up with a 2-1 win at Hiram and a 4-2 victory over Bluffton, in which Herrick impacted both sides of the field. Offensively, she tallied a game-winning goal against Bluffton, while defensively, she played nearly 90 minutes in each contest helping guide the Muskingum backline to a 2-0 week.

This season, Herrick has started in all six games for the Muskies, while also registering three goals.

Muskingum sits with a 2-2-2 record wrapping up non-conference play this upcoming week.

The Muskies look to extend their winning streak on Wednesday, September 21, when they travel to Earlham to clash with the Quakers. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m.
