Bodenmiller earns OAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week

The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum junior goalkeeper Katie Bodenmiller was named OAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

Bodenmiller helped lead the Muskies to a 3-0 week of play between the pipes with wins against Bethany, Defiance, and Bluffton. She made two saves and aloud zero goals in 72 minutes of play against Bethany for a 4-1 victory and followed it with a shutout against Defiance, 3-0 while making three saves in goal. Against Bluffton, she made four saves and recorded an incredible rare assist off a massive punt to help create the first goal of the game in a 2-0 victory. Bodenmiller ended the week with nine total saves, a zero goals aloud average, and one assist.

On the year, Bodenmiller has recorded 34 saves, a 1.34 goals aloud average, a .776 save percentage, four wins on the year, three shutouts, and one assist to help lead the Muskie defense.

Muskingum next travel to Latrobe, Pa. to take on St. Vincent on Friday, September 27. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m. at UPMC Field.
