The Muskingum wrestling team finished 13th out of 16 teams at the 40th annual Ohio Northern Invitational.
The Basics
- Location: ONU Sports Center – Ada, OH
- The Muskies finished 13th in the 16-team field.
- Muskingum scored 42 points.
- Olivet won the team title with 160.5 points.
On the Mat
- The Muskies were led by senior Carter Layton who finished seventh in the 165-pound weight class. Layton finished 5-2 on the day with three wins via fall, one win by decision, and one medical forfeit victory.
- Senior Cooper Hemming had a solid showing in the 133-pound weight class, finishing 4-2 on the day and also grabbing a seventh-place finish. Hemming tallied three wins via fall, and one win by forfeit.
- Junior Hunter Heck finished 2-3 on the day in the 125-pound weight class, finishing in eigth-place. Heck tallied one win by decision, and one win via forfeit.
- Junior Tanner Donathan also went 2-2 on the day. Donathan competed in the 141-pound weight class and tallied a win via fall and a victory by forfeit.
- Junior Noah DeHainaut finished 2-2 in the 197-pound weight class, grabbing both of his wins by decision.
- The following Muskies also earned one victory in their respective weight classes: Noah Houchins (125), Deric Ellyson (165), and Jacob Baca (184).
