The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has named Muskingum junior Valerie Deighton to the IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll.

Deighton, a business management major from Cuyahoga Falls, was previously honored for her academic excellence in the classroom by being named to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Honor Roll.

On the field, Deighton started 14 games for the Muskies and logged career-highs for groundballs, caused turnovers, and games played. 

To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
