Women’s Lacrosse slips in season-opener against Albion

The Muskingum women's lacrosse team slipped to Albion in their season/home opener on Sunday afternoon, 24-4.

  • Albion jumped out to a quick start leading Muskingum 7-2 after the opening quarter.
  • Five unanswered second-quarter Albion goals extended the Briton lead to 13-2 heading into the break.
  • The Britons used an 11-goal surge in the second half to secure the victory.

 Inside the Numbers

  • The Muskies were led by freshman Megan Lang who tallied a team-high two goals on three shots.
  • Freshman Riley Zwagerman and freshman Riley Hudock each added a goal apiece for Muskingum. Zwagerman also secured two ground balls for the Muskies.
  • Defensively, sophomore Cailin Wise recorded eight saves during 60 minutes of work in the net for Muskingum.
