Women's Bowling Ranked #1 Club Team in Latest Polls

The Collegiate Club Championships ranked the Muskingum Women's Bowling team #1 overall in the first poll of the season. This is the highest ranking at this point of the season in program history. The team's early-season tournament results directly contributed to their early national recognition. Additionally, in the United States Bowling Congress National Polls, Muskingum Women's Bowling ranks 11th in the country.

At the Brunswick Midwest Collegiate Championship @ 5 Star Lanes, Muskingum posted a final score of 7,021 pins, comprised of a 5,881.2 average in the five-game regular format and 2,615 pins in Baker games.

In the Ohio Bowling Conference (OBC) #2 meet, the Muskies earned a runner-up finish among 14 teams. In that event, senior Lillian Matteson led Muskingum with a three-game total of 604 pins, placing 4th overall among 113 competitors.

For a program like Muskingum's, this season further reinforces its position as a top contender in women's collegiate bowling. Under the guidance of Head Coach Doug Smith, now in his 14th year, the team has developed a culture, continuing their championship-level performance.
