Women's bowling finishes 19th at Brunswick Midwest Collegiate Championship

The Muskingum women's bowling team was back in action this weekend as they competed in the Brunswick Midwest Collegiate Championship in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

The Muskies finished 19th out of 42 teams at their first Tier 1 competition of the year with a total pinfall of 7,021.

Milligan University won the event with a total of 7816.

Paige Richards of Marian University (IN) won the individual title with a total of 1,064 pins.

Muskingum was led by junior Tayler Clark, who had a score of 993 and placed 12th out of 304 bowlers.

Senior Elizabeth Springsteen added 912 pins to place 51st, and sophomore Bridget Cake tallied 870 for 68th.

Senior Lillian Matteson contributed 676 pins in four games, while freshman Crystal Yingst added 527 across three games.

Sophomore Faith Smith rounded out the Muskies with 428 over her three games of action.

The women are back in action Saturday, October 18, as they compete in OBC #1 at The Palace in Columbus.
