Seven Muskies highlight All-OAC selections for Softball

The Ohio Athletic Conference has named senior infielder Haley Hawk and senior infielder Katie Osburn First Team All-OAC, while junior infielder Claire Warschauer, sophomore outfielder Kalie Eshelman, and sophomore pitcher Madelyn Thomas earned Second Team All-OAC honors. Junior catcher Carlee Lamacz and senior pitcher Hannah Smith also earned Honorable Mention All-OAC accolades. 

Hawk captured her third All-OAC honor after leading the Muskies with a .402 batting average and with 53 hits. She also notched 11 doubles, two home runs, and finished tied for second on the team with 29 RBIs.

Osburn collected her second All-OAC accolade after she finished the 2022 campaign with a career-high 50 hits, and finished second on the team with a .460 batting average. Osburn also led the Muskies with 12 doubles, one triple, and a collected a team and career-best 30 RBIs. Osburn played in all 43 games at the hot corner for the Muskies.

Warschauer notched her first All-OAC selection with a .299 batting average and she tallied a career-high 32 hits on the season. She also notched career-highs in doubles (12), home runs (2), and RBIs (18). Warschauer played in all 43 games, anchoring the Muskie defense at shortstop and recording a fielding percentage of .948. 

Eshelman captured her first All-OAC selection after she finished the year with a career-best season. She finished with a .327 batting average, 33 hits, seven doubles, one triple, one home run, and 21 RBIs, while also grabbing 12 stolen bases.

Thomas earned her first All-OAC selection after she led the team and was third in the conference with a career-low 2.19 ERA. She finished fourth in the OAC and second on the team with 12 wins and notched a career-high 104 strikeouts. Thomas also earned OAC Pitcher of the Week honors this season. 

Lamacz secured her first All-OAC accolade after she finished the year hitting .242, while also tallying 23 hits. Lamacz registered a career-high four doubles, two home runs, and a career-best 15 RBIs as well.

Smith collected her third All-OAC accolade posting a team-best and conference-best 16 wins. Smith also finished first on the team and second in the OAC with a career-high 116 strikeouts.
