Softball drops OAC Tournament semifinal to Mount Union

The Muskingum softball team fell to Mount Union in the OAC Tournament semifinal on Sunday afternoon, 3-0.

How it Happened

  • In the second, Muskingum looked to plate the first run of the contest with a runner on second, but a strikeout ended the early threat.
  • With two outs in the top of the third, back-to-back doubles from a Payton Guspyt and Alyssa Rose gave Mount Union a 3-0 advantage.

  • Senior Hannah Smith tossed three innings and allowed three runs on three hits. Smith registered three strikeouts.
