The Muskingum University softball team will be hosting a Mighty Muskies Softball Academy. The academy will occur over the course of five weeks, starting on Tuesday, December 10, and ending on Thursday, January 16.  The academy will feature a total of ten sessions, five offensive, and five defensive sessions.

During the sessions, the players will be taught the fundamentals and skills of softball, as well as the underlying life lessons that the game can teach you. Each of the sessions will include an active warmup, fundamental stations, communication, and repetitions. There are only 20 spots available for each session, so it is on a first come first serve basis. Players are welcome to attend one session, either offense or defense, or to attend both sessions.

Dates of the Camp:

• Week One: Tuesday, December 10 & Thursday, December 12
• Week Two: Tuesday, December 17 & Thursday, December 19
• Week Three: Monday, December 30 & Thursday, January 2
• Week Four: Tuesday, January 7 & Thursday, January 9
• Week Five: Tuesday, January 14 & Thursday, January 16

The Times are as follows:

Grades 5th-8th:

• Tuesday Evenings:
  
  • Offense: 6:15 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
  • Defense: 7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • Both: 6:15 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Grades 9th-12th:

• Thursday Evenings:
  
  • Offense: 6:15 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
  • Defense: 7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • Both: 6:15 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

The pricing is as follows:

Per Session:

• Offensive Sessions: $25 per session
• Defensive Sessions: $25 per session
• For both Offensive and Defensive Sessions: $40 per session

Five Guaranteed Sessions:

• 5 Defense Sessions: $120
• 5 Offensive Sessions: $120
• (10) Both Defensive and Offensive Sessions: $200

The event will be hosted in the John Glenn Gymnasium on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
