Speeth wins Muskingum Meet to lead squad to second-place finish

Sophomore Wade Speeth led the Muskies with a first-place finish in the 30-runner field at the Muskingum Meet with a time of 20:51.3. The season-opening event was held at their new home course at Agnes Moorehead Farm on Wednesday.

The Course
• Muskingum hosted the meet at Agnes Moorehead Farm.
• The event was a 6k race.
• The Muskies finished with a total of 37 points.
• Washington & Jefferson secured first with 33 points.

How it happened
• Freshman Max McAdams recorded a time of 21:38.6 to finish third.
• Freshman Shane Funk notched a time of 22:29.2 to finish sixth.
• Sophomore Devyn Stout recorded a time of 23:25.9 (13th place), while freshman Wyatt Speeth secured a time of 24:08.5 (15th pace).
• Freshman Cameron Scott finished with a time of 25:14.6 to place 19th.
• Sophomore Zachary Wilcox rounded out the efforts for the Muskies with a time of 27:26.2 to place 28th.
