Men’s Track & Field places fourth at Tim Weaver Invitational

 

The Muskingum Men's Track & Field competed at the Tim Weaver Invitational hosted by West Liberty on Saturday. The Muskies finished fourth out of an eight-team field.

The Basics

  • The event was hosted by West Liberty
  • Muskingum finished with a total team score of 106
  • West Liberty won the event with a total team score of 166.5

On the Track

  • Sophomore Wade Speeth captured a first-place finish in 5,000-meter with a time of 15:40.01.
  • Freshman Colton Whyte secured a fifth-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.88.
  • Sophomore Evan Wagner ran a time of 1:03.33 to finish fifth in the 400-meter hurdles.
  • The 4X100 Relay Team of senior Aaron Johnston, Whyte, freshman Tyrese Mayle, and freshman Dudley Jaboin finished fourth with a time of 45.47.
  • The 4X400 Relay Team of Whyte, Jaboin, Mayle, and freshman Cameron Scott finished fourth with a time of 3:40.88.

 In the Field

  • Junior Tristan Makowski captured a first-place finish in the Hammer with a toss of 43.23 meters. He also placed second in the Shot Put with a mark of 12.98 meters.
  • Sophomore Julian Anderson notched a second-place finish in the Triple Jump with a mark of 12.76 meters. 
  • Senior Daniel Odette-Spillner secured a second-place finish in the discus with a mark of 39.92 meters, while junior Alfred Johnson III finished behind him with a distance of 39.04 meters.
  • Sophomore Logan Wickham notched a distance of 12.90 meters to finish third in the shot put, while Johnson III placed fifth with a mark of 12.29 meters.
  • Sophomore Tommoris Davis secured a sixth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.19 meters.
