Men’s Track & Field wins Don Frail Invitational

The Muskingum men's track & field team won the Don Frail Invitational hosted by Marietta College on Saturday. The event marked the season opener for the 2022 outdoor season.

On the Track

  • Sophomore Wade Speeth notched a first-place finish in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:15.73. He also finished fourth in the 800-meter with a time of 2:06.68.
  • Freshman Colton Whyte secured a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.97.
  • Senior Aaron Johnston finished third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.58.
  • Freshman Dudley Jaboin placed third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.10. Johnston placed fifth running a time of 24.30.
  • Sophomore Hasson Williams placed third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.31.
  • Sophomore Evan Wagner ran a 1:03.27 to place fifth in the 400-meter hurdles.

On the Field

  • Sophomore Cortez Hatem notched a first-place finish in the shot put with toss of 12.71 meters.
  • Junior Daniel Odette-Spillner secured a first-place finish in the discus with a distance of 38.87 meters. He also finished fifth in the Hammer with a mark of 34.70 meters.
  • Junior Logan Wickham logged a distance of 12.67 meters to finish second in the shot put, while junior Alfred Johnson III finished behind him with a mark of 11.78 meters.
  • Junior Preston Hershberger threw a distance of 38.24 meters in the Javelin to place second.
  • Johnson III placed second in the discus with a toss of 38.55, while Wickman notched a 36.17 mark.
  • Junior Tristan Makowski secured a second-place finish in the hammer tossing a mark of 40.88 meters.
  • Freshman Logan Horton finished second in the High Jump with a mark of 1.55 meters.
  • Sophomore Julian Anderson jumped a distance of 6.07 meters in the long jump to notch a third-place finish.
  • Whyte secured a third-place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 12.49 meters, while Anderson notched a distance of 12.45 meters.
