Men’s Indoor Track & Field finishes second at Marietta Meet

The Muskingum men's indoor track & field team finished second at the Marietta Meet on Sunday.

The Basics

Notables

  • The Muskies finished in second out of a three-team field.
  • Muskingum logged a total of 128 points.
  • Wilmington finished in first with 165 points.

On The Track

  • Freshman Samuel Paydock secured first place in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.93.
  • Junior Aaron Johnston notched a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.42, while freshman Jaden Swiderek finished in third place with a time of 24.60.
  • Freshman Wade Speeth secured third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:06.47.
  • Senior John Franz finished fourth in the 3000-meter with a time of 9:25.23.
  • Freshman Hasson Williams finished second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.92, while freshman Evan Wagner finished third with a time of 9.27.
  • The 4x200-meter crew of Paydock, Johnston, freshman Tyrel James, and Swidereck, secured first place with a time of 1:37.37.
  • The 4x400-meter crew of sophomore Seth Roseberry, Williams, Wagner, and junior Hudson Moore secured first place with a time of 4:00.21.

In The Field

  • Swiderek earned a high jump of 1.75 meters for a third-place finish.
  • Swiderek guided the Muskies with a long jump of 6.21 meters to earn first, while freshman Tommoris Davis finished right behind him in second with a mark of 6.04meters. Freshman Julian Anderson also finished in fourth with a long jump mark of 5.93 meters. 
  • Freshman Jakai Smith recorded a triple jump mark of 11.92 meters to place first.
  • Freshman Logan Wickham finished second with a shot-put distance of 13.05 meters.
