Josh Fletcher was named an assistant coach for the Muskingum men's lacrosse program during the summer of 2021.

During the 2022 season, Fletcher helped guide Muskingum to numerous program and single-season records. The Muskies finished the season with program records in wins during a single season, the most conference wins in a single season, and numerous statistical category records. As a team, the Muskies set numerous single-game program records including goals (26) vs. La Roche, assists  (19) vs. Mt. St. Joseph, ground balls (83) vs. La Roche, face-off wins (83) vs. La Roche, caused turnovers (29) vs. La Roche, and shots (85) vs. La Roche.

Along with numerous team records, Fletcher helped guide players into the Muskingum record books as individuals. During the 2022 season, Muskingum players set numerous individual single-season records including most points, most goals, most assists, most face-off wins, best face-off win percentage, and most ground balls.

Fletcher joined the Muskie staff after an outstanding lacrosse career at Muskingum. He ended his tenure ranked first all-time in career assists with 29 and fifth in goals scored (51) and points (80). Additionally, Fletcher owned the single-season records for points (58), goals (37), and assists (21) prior to them being broken during the 2022 season. Fletcher was recognized for his outstanding play at Muskingum by being named All-Ohio Athletic Conference.

Off-campus, Fletcher serves in the United States Navy.
