The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that sophomore goalie Trevor Connolly was named Defensive Player of the Week for his outstanding effort in leading the Muskingum men's lacrosse team to a 9-8 overtime victory over Marietta last Wednesday.
Connolly recorded 17 saves, including several in the first two minutes of the game, to help lead Muskingum to the season-finale victory. Connolly tallied a .680 save percentage versus the Pioneers, and ended his sophomore campaign with 192 saves on the year. Connolly now sits in third place in program history for most saves in a single season.
Connolly's efforts this year helped lead the men's lacrosse team to numerous team records including most wins in a season, most OAC wins in a season, and best win percentage for a single campaign.
